In your great response to TRIOS, you noted that, "discussions of throupledom all seem to begin with the assumption that coupledom is a self-evidently more stable arrangement." It is obvious to me, and I hope it is to many others, that a structure with three legs will ALWAYS be more stable than a structure with only two legs, which has to lean against something else in order to stand. (Think of the difference between a three-legged stool and a ladder.)

I believe that "poly" is neither an orientation nor an identity. I think it is a style of living one's life that one adopts or not. Many people in monogamous (or even monogamish) relationships fall for another but choose not to make a long-term triad or quad. Many people who like the variety may look for others who similarly like the variety to make groupings of more than two. But this is a choice of how to live one's life. A poly gay man still looks for other gay men to share his life. A poly straight man still looks for multiple women to share his life, or other women and men. It is how they choose to live their life and how to express their sexuality. But loving multiple people at once is not the same as loving same sex or loving opposite sex. It may be a WAY of loving others, but it is not the WHY.

I have been told that there are a number of food items, like parsley, that can change and improve the taste of a man's cum. Perhaps Randy's cum just doesn't taste good to his girlfriend. The easiest fix for that is to start consuming foods that make his cum taste better. I just read #21's explanation of where the word "leotarded" came from. While I understand that many were offended by the word, "retarded," did anyone (i.e. Dan) consider that late-July/early August folks (Leo's) might be offended by his replacement term?

I knew a gay couple years ago in Austin. One owned a gay bar and the other managed it. It soon became apparent that their sexual foreplay consisted of public argument. Then they would go home and have great "make-up sex." That was their thing, until every gay bar in town had thrown them out and barred them because of the adverse impact their fights were having on other bar customers. Finally, we realized that was why they went to other bars to fight, so that they wouldn't drive the customers out of their own bar!

Regarding Anthony Weiner, I enjoyed reading your response. However, the talk I've heard (or read) so far has ONLY been about the pictures he sent. It doesn't mention that the woman (or women) might have asked to see a picture of his cock. And it's also true that the woman (women) might have asked but he's omitting that to save THEIR reputations. And let's face it, there are women who, knowing the guy they're chatting with is an elected official, would ask the guy to send such a picture because they know it can cause damage to the guy and his party, or help them get rich later on. I regret that life has made me so cynical, but there it is.
