Having the number posted actually might help. I think I know who has his skull and I'm trying to help. Couldn't do that without the number. (and if I'm wrong someone else might know...)

It's pretty misleading to say "the cop shot him" since the suspect wasn't shot. Maybe "the cop shot AT him/his car" or "shot out the tires on his vehicle" (which is what actually happened.

War on marriage! Fuck yeah! Where can I join up?

Could this also be interpreted as a reminder that participating in non-Presidential politics is still important? That people can't just vote for Obama and say "Cool, you take care of things now, I'm out." Him highlighting states' rights is (I think, anyway) also reminding voters that they have a responsibility to show up and participate if they really want things to change.

@7- agreed! This headline is garbage. Unless of course President Obama was in DEA uniform leading the raid. If so, I happily stand corrected.

Not to rain on everyone's International Law parade but he'd only be headed to the ICC if domestic courts were found to be unwilling or unable to prosecute him. This why the conservative hysteria about subjecting US soldiers to the ICC's jurisdiction is so ridiculous. The US military is both able and, at least so far, willing to prosecute under the UCMJ so the ICC would not have a role in this.

Maybe I was too distracted by the inane score on the Swedish version but I liked the American version better. I thought the relationship between the leads was far more believable, and the vilains also seemed less cartoonishly evil. And the pat-ness of the relationship between the main characters is something I'll concede but I also think it's the only way to make the audience believe the emotional turmoil at the end (which even the book could not convince me of.) And while Rapace was stunning in the Swedish adaptation, hers was the only impressive performance. Every other actor in that film seemed plucked from a daytime soap. I thought the acting in this version was much better from the rest of the cast, and Mara might not have reached Rapace but certainly held her own.

Comparing a woman being happy seeing some one with her own figure celebrated as beautiful to a person happy to see some one with their own IQ celebrated as presidential is illogical on any number of levels.

Also, celebrating a size 12 woman as beautiful isn't exactly encouraging obesity. Size 12 is not obese! The real problem facing our society isn't about size so much as it is an unhealthy relationship with food. Being pressured into wanting an unhealthy and unattainable body type only makes women (and men) continue to struggle with food. This can mean eating too little or eating too much or eating for the wrong reasons. I don't want a model to look "just like me" I want a model to look like a real person and not a plastic doll that got stretched on a medeval torture device. Real people have fat on their bodies and that isn't unhealthy. While you're of course entitled to your opinion I hope that Lindy West fires back with a response because this is really, really offensive.
