If you think it would have been OK to call an African American the N-word or a gay man a F@gg€t in a similar situation, you're golden, because it arrives in women's ears with a similar level of historic hatred and threat.
Jan 11 EFB commented on Check Out What These Republican Dickbags Want to Do About Guns!.
I love that they think they're sending us into a deadly situation (statistically, school is the safest place we could all be), but they're ok with cutting our salaries year after year, and we get to PAY FOR OUR OWN TRAINING. Thanks, Republicans!
Dec 18, 2012 EFB commented on Thanks, Gregoire, But Governor-Elect Inslee Will Go His Own Way on the Budget.
Public education did no fare well during Gregoire's leadership. At all. I certainly hope Inslee has some new ideas.

Ignore these nobodies. They're just a small collection of cousin humping attention whores.
Nov 16, 2012 EFB commented on One Eastern WA County Isn't Mostly Bigots.
Straight lady from Benton County, here. I phone banked, door belled, and donated money for marriage equality because, duh. And I was involved in getting a school district to change it's LGBT club policy. 37% of people in Benton voted to approve 74. Most east side counties also had about 1/3 of their residents vote against bigotry. We're a minority over here, and 74 wouldn't have passed without us. Don't lump us all together with the bigots.

There's obviously some pathology involved here. Aspergers? MMR? In all things, use compassion.
Feb 12, 2012 EFB commented on Stranger Tournament of Dunces, Match 4: Rep. Brad Klippert vs. Rep. Bill Hinkle.
Brad Klippert, like most east side lawmakers, is a doofus. But I think The Stranger should give props to Maureen Walsh, a Wally World lawmaker with a brain and an impressive supply of courage. Give a few bucks to her campaign, as the cray cray fundies will surely be after her seat.
Feb 9, 2012 EFB commented on Republicans Put Gay Marriage on the Ballot at Their Own Risk.
Carl Rove has used this very ploy to get the opposite effect in red states. We won't only be voting for president next fall; we'll also be voting for governor, so this might be Gregoire's parting shot at McKenna. Get the dems motivated to vote. WA's electoral votes will go blue, as always. The votes for governor ore less assured.
