I agree with @3. Put this all together and it sounds like you, at least, for all your faults, are aware of said faults and seem to have worked pretty hard at this relationship...but it's just not what it should be, or what either of you deserve. My bullshit alarm is going off a lot harder at your boyfriend's behavior, so maybe I'm wrong about him, but either way, your sexual incompatibility's the real deal-breaker. Focus on your exams, OP, and then gracefully, lovingly move on.

Dear Progressive Who Can Do Math:

Right the fuck on. Damn skippy. Preach!

@3: yeah, Nate's gotten very click-baity of late. I don't entirely blame him—a boy's gotta eat and capitalism's the law of the land. But that's why I tend to trust Sam Wang at Princeton much more these days.
Oct 18 scott (the other one) commented on Naked Hillary Clinton Statue Appears in New York.
"The whole thing is about as subtle as the naked Trump statues that appeared in cities around the US, including Seattle , back in August. The body-shaming was about as funny, too."

A big difference, of course, being that Trump is well-known for his body-shaming of others, whereas Clinton has never, to the best of my knowledge, publicly body-shamed anyone.

TIL that Clinton got rimmed by Monica.

And here I thought I couldn't approve of him more.

The intro does go on a bit—I skipped 14 minutes of it and I'm okay with that—but I really truly no kidding loved the rest.

"Our experiences in the world are very different, and as such our opinions of people differ"

Ah. I suspect the LW is far more negative than he realizes and at some point that—along with his support of Trump and love of guns—led her to quickly back away slowly. (sic)

It is astonishing that after Sandy Hook, nothing was done—in fact, the NRA made gains. That a few years later, the massacre of a club full of gay men seems to have actually had more of an impact than a bunch of little kids getting slaughtered (I realize it's cumulative) drives home just how massively this country has changed in the past five years.
May 27 scott (the other one) commented on Do You Still Trust Hillary Clinton?.
"This e-mail thing is not going away, as much as you might wish it."

Of course it's not. Not because it's really A Really Huge Deal, but because the GOP and the media won't let it go away, because they love to hate her.

I'm not saying there's absolutely No There There with the email stuff, just that it sounds like it was more or less SOP for others in her position for years, and that it sounds like every other Clinton scandal: sound and fury signifying a tiny fraction of what the screamers claim. Maybe this 296th time's the charm.

"This isn't just a problem with Trump supporters specifically. It's a problem with conservatives generally. They care only about them and theirs. You and yours can go fuck yourselves."

That's exactly why the praise Nancy Reagan got for her work on alzheimer's funding frosted me so bad—as if there was the slightest chance in hell she would have given the slightest flying fuck about alzheimer's if Ronnie hadn't had it.
