Aug 19 Rocky Mountain Ben commented on The Morning News: Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort Resigns, Judge to Those Who Lost Lives and Homes in Oso Mudslide: It's Your Fault.
Hey Mudede, could we get a morning news post without all the editorializing for once? If you want to editorialize on these subjects, why not write more in-depth posts on each one? Instead you come across as a cable news talking head lecturing to us about what we're supposed to think about a particular piece of news. Try putting some more depth into your views and leave the 'morning news' to the facts.

Using their logic, the Smith Tower would never have been allowed.

@ 2 This is the 2nd Amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

So do you now see what @1 did there?
Nov 6, 2015 Rocky Mountain Ben commented on Damn Fine Police Work: Over Half the Student Body of One Colorado High School Facing Felony Charges.
I wonder if the fact that Canon City is a prison town has anything to do with the determination of police and prosecutors to hunt for potential felony charges within the local youth population?
Sep 7, 2015 Rocky Mountain Ben commented on The Morning News: It's Labor Day! Go Back to Bed!.
Wish I could have gone back to bed. Its funny how the lowest paid people in our society still have to work on a day meant to honor the sacrifices and achievements of labor with a day of rest for the laborers.

The Duwamish are mentioned in the preamble of the Treaty of Point Elliot as one of the named tribes the US was making the treaty with. Therefore, doesn't the Treaty of Point Elliot automatically federally recognize the tribe? Any decision to the contrary after the signing of the treaty is in violation of the agreement.
Aug 15, 2015 Rocky Mountain Ben commented on Reader Survey: Is Astrology Real?.
This is a stupid move. Lots of people like FWA. In my experience they especially enjoy reading other's horoscopes to them aloud. It is a very fun, thoughtful and social experience each week.
Aug 4, 2015 Rocky Mountain Ben commented on Are Office Temperatures Sexist?.
I'm not saying there isn't an inequality thing here. I don't know one way or the other, but why aren't the differences between typical male and female business dress codes also considered here? Business attire for men, especially east of the Mississippi River, doesn't allow for a great deal of change from season to season. Business suits aren't really comfortable in the summer, but men are still often required to wear them. Meanwhile, woman are able to dress more seasonably.

I work in the restaurant industry. My restaurant collects all tips and then splits everything evenly between every staff person clocked in that day, regardless of what position they work. It really helps form a camaraderie between front and back of house workers, and we all really love that teamwork atmosphere. In fact I believe that positive environment is palpable to customers, which usually leads to better tips overall.
