My favorite players are still on my team! Unfortunately, Tanger's got a broken toe and Sid's got a broken jaw. And in the past two nights Vokoun and Fleury have magically transformed into sieves. Also, we traded for some extra captains but they've not been too impressive so far.

Crazy stacked team. Lost zero roster players while gaining four. (Ray Shero is a master thief. I don't know how he pulled that shit off!) But half the team's on the IR.

I really want cable channels a la carte. Mainly because I only really want about 4 channels and paying $80/month for 200 is not something I'm at all willing to do. But a few dollars per channel so that I can watch the few things that I do want to watch is something I'd be game for. Theoretically, at least. I don't have Netflix or Hulu+ or anything else so maybe not. But theoretically, yes!

My poor boyfriend is visiting this weekend. He will have no choice but to watch excessive amounts of hockey, drink beer and hang out while my friends and I go nuts over the hockey!!!! It shall be awesome.

Read the article linked by @21. Deafness and blindness weren't the only problems. The men had other medical problems, their livelihood was dependent on sight, they could only communicate with their immediate family and only via sign language which would have been lost to them when blindness set in.
Furthermore, it took 2 years for them to get from deciding this is how they'd go about it and it being done. A judge had to rule in their favor and a doctor had to be found who was willing to perform the euthanasia. This was not a whim and they weren't just losing their sight. They were losing their independence, their work, their home and their ability to communicate at all.
I think their family, the judge and the doctor should all be commended for their compassion to these two poor men.
