... am I the only one who actually *likes* Arby's, and Horsey Sauce in particular?

Fly sticks. They're basically flypaper without the hassle. Put a few drops of apple cider vinegar into the bottom cap and hang it somewhere near where the flies appear.

@67: "It was one rational statement vs. 10 flimsy excuses."

Not so much. It was one opinion statement versus ten rational arguments. Lindy's entire position comes down to "logic doesn't real, only feels."

Dan has referred a few times to a study saying that young people often don't realize that sex is supposed to be enjoyable. Can we get the details on that study? A title and authors, at least? (I'm a college student, so I have access to most journals.)

I don't know why this part didn't get posted...

"The Bible is like a person, like an older relative who's got some outdated ideas but some good experiences to relay as well. Just because we don't agree with everything Uncle Bible says doesn't mean that we lock him in the attic and never listen to a thing."

But at the same time, Uncle Bible isn't particularly reliable, so we don't accept what he says as truth without some sort of outside verification. Parts of his ramblings can be great stories, but they're more likely to be fiction than fact.

"One CAN pick and choose which parts of the Bible to follow. I'm sure that plenty of you do unto others as you'd have them do unto you without following the rest of it."

Yes, because I'm an atheist, and the ethic of reciprocity (aka "the golden rule") is a good ethical position, whether or not a Jewish zombie said so.

Claiming the Bible is good because it contains a few good verses is like claiming a turd is good eatin' because it has a few chunks of corn.

"A man and his girlfriend have agreed to embark on an open relationship. But it's open only for him. She's not allowed to go outside the relationship. Is this okay?"

Only if she imposed that condition herself. (In which case it wouldn't be "not allowed", so much as "isn't willing to".)

[Note: I haven't listened to the episode yet.]
