I have a husband. I have an 8 year old son. Occasionally they are the same vicinity while naked. I hope this Issaquah dude doesn't find out.

As a reader who gets a majority of her news from this source, I wonder if it would be useful to register a complaint about this with the AG's office?

All I can add to this discussion are the comments I've heard from my teenage daughters. They both have told me that some boys their age have many expectations in sexual relationships that apparently stem from their early exposure to Internet porn. This seems to put a lot of pressure on the girls (and possibly on the boys as well) to conform to sexual behavior that may not be comfortable to them, especially in the early stages of exploration, but appear to be "what everybody is doing" because it's so ubiquitous in the virtual world. Porn has always been with us, and I'm sure always will be, but as a parent I do worry that Internet porn may have a detrimental effect on teens of both genders and of whatever sexual orientation.

I have to say I think society might be better off if we weeded out the kind of people who think "Darwin award" comments make for witty commentary on a kid's death. Especially the ones who say essentially the same thing about...oh, let's say about 32 comments into the thread. Callous and unoriginal! Congrats!

@31 (and 32)...what does that even mean?

As the parent of a child with mental health issues, I wish people would quit saying this guy was "mentally ill", at least until there is further evidence to support that statement. Was he hearing voices? Did he have delusional beliefs that pushed him into violent behavior? Or was he just another angry, abusive, gun-loving man who knew exactly what he was doing? I also find it curious, in a disturbing way, that those who knew him say that his issues escalated in the last five years, which corresponds to the beginning of the last presidential election season. Based on his father's Facebook page, there were ideas floating around in his family about "socialism" and "liberals" that may underpin his rage-filled act against society. But that doesn't make him mentally ill, and it's unfair to those who struggle every day to live a better life despite a debilitating illness to use that label to explain his actions.

I just spent five minutes posting comments on their FB page. Pointless, but fun.

His legal record includes a conviction for giving false information to a police officer and he's had a restraining order taken out against him by a woman in South Carolina. I think the guy has been running around wreaking havoc for a long time before discovering the joys of the public arena.

Actually, George Tierney Jr. of Greenville South Carolina is up and running (his mouth, probably with little bits of spittle and froth flying everywhere) on Twitter again.

Sorry, bryanrust, didn't mean to steal your line! You must have posted while I was busily typing away.
