Have the people wringing their hands over this video ever seen the comment section on Youtube before? It's the sweaty, smelly crotch of the internet. You don't need much to get those losers into a racist froth, and I'd submit that it's not exactly representative of the views of anyone that matters.

I should have stopped reading after this line. What kind of shoddy logic is this? "People prefer slums to being dislocated and put in a human warehouse, ergo people like to live in slums!" Really? I must like getting my arm bit off by a shark, because I prefer that to getting eaten by a tiger.

The problem isn't that sequestration is a big word. You can know what sequestration means and still have no clue how or why it is being used in this context. The word was chosen to be used in public specifically because it's common meaning is so disconnected from its policy implications.

@18: I know what hollow point bullets are as well as you. You say yourself that he is a moron and endangered children. How did he endanger children? By leaving a gun around that could have done damage. The guy loaded the gun with hollow point bullets, specifically to increase the damage done to anyone on the receiving end. So he intentionally upped the killing power of a gun that he then left lying around a bunch of children. He went the extra step that could have amplified whatever bad outcomes his inexcusable negligence caused. How is that not relevant? If you think he's a moron for endangering children, why would he not be even more of a moron by making his gun extra deadly before doing so?

One thing you learn when you start delving into the world of nutritional science is that there's not always a lot of science involved. Double blind control studies on diet are almost impossible to do and are very expensive, so lots of recommendations are extrapolations on extrapolations. And hey, if we recommend limiting a certain substance (salt, cholesterol, fat, etc.), but don't see any positive results, it probably just means we neet to limit that substance even more. That's the ticket, right?

Gun nuts have lost all perspective. They say that the 2nd amendment is so important because it's the one that protects all our other rights. So why haven't they taken up arms to defend the 4th amendment, which has basically been completely eviscerated over the past decade (and had been getting weaker and weaker for decades past)?
