Columbia City Residents Dispute Official Account of Friday's Police Shooting.
it's odd that only 1-2 people in this thread think its not OK for Mayberry/Bellevue PD to be serving warrants and driving their tanks into Seattle. WTF, Smellevue, we knew you were bored, but you can't get on the horn and let SPD take care of this lone offender? We know for a fact that SPD is well-armed and not afraid to shoot first, ask questions never. We don't need your "help".
As someone who lives in Lake Shitty and expects the overarmed, under mentally-equipped S'moreline Kops to launch a missile into my neighborhood at the first sign of boredom, I'm right with the Columbia City folks.
Fuck you, BPD. Dicks.

A Modest Proposal for Mayor McGinn: "I Know You Like Bikes".
the cutest part of this letter is the belief that Seattle needs more 20/30 year olds / hipsters. Don't we have all of them already?
an East / West bike-only road would be awesome, tho. Especially if I could start at my house at NE 137th St, ride directly west, and wind up @ Denny and Elliot. That'd be a huge time-saver.

Today In the East Carolinian.
Just here to remind everyone that since East Carolina isn't a real place, Mahogany Whatsherface isn't a real person.
Nothing to see here, move along now.

This Is Beyond Categories.
as your name is "Chicago Fan", do you mean a fan of the city of Chicago? I can get behind that, no problem. But if you mean, "Fan of all professional sports teams of Chicago", does that include the Bears? Because, as everyone from everywhere outside of Chicago knows, which is 7.1 billion people (minus ~ 5 million), The Bears Still SUCK. Always have, always will.
I'm going to suggest using your real name if you expect anyone to give a shit what you think about some terrible thing that happened in Idaho. Are you a paid reporter for the Stranger? Does it say "Chicago Fan" on your paycheck? Or, maybe I'm wrong to believe that anyone at the Stranger gets paid to be a reporter.

Plastic Bag Ban Blamed for Theft Spike.
the bag ban is a red herring. the real problem at Lake City grocery outlet is lots of extremely hungry people living in that neighborhood, doing what they have to do to feed their families (I know, I live here). Very few people secret or secrete food without a damn good reason.
but yea Stranger, nice reporting work. You're really rockin' the news-comedy these days!
