Grindr Does Good.
But I hate it when friends are always checking Grindr when we're spending time together. Maybe I'm just not interesting enough to hold anyone's attention, but if you took the trouble to arrange to hang out with me for a beer or a meal, do you really need to be checking Grindr every five minutes in case some guy you don't know and, chances are, you're never going to meet, much less fuck, said, "Sup?" to you? Does it somehow boost your confidence that guys are clicking on your profile more than it boosts your confidence to have a friend who likes to spend time with you? Next time I want to go out with someone who spends the whole evening looking at his phone, I'll just go out with my husband.

Prop 8 Headed to Supreme Court.
@1 - There seems to be a lot of hope that SCOTUS will decline to hear this case, but I tend to think the justices will want to have their say on it because it relies so heavily on Romer and they'll want to control where that line of precedent is going.
@3 - We're nowhere near the tipping point the country was at when Loving was decided. Back then, the court was just getting rid of some very old (centuries, in some cases) anti-miscegination laws on the books of just 16 states. Today, they'd be undoing very recent, voter-enacted bans in 36 states. The court might see where this is all headed in the long run, but they won't go there until most of the country is already there first.

Me and Pastor Harris.
Dan should be thanking this Harris guy. His offensive comments are the only thing that got Dan's offensive comments out of the news cycle.

The Painter of Light Goes Dark.
Dying on Good Friday, just like Jesus: well played, Kincaid. Ima call Mary and and see if she wants go sit by your tomb tomorrow morning and see what happens.
And @14 - Leave it to some goddamned foreigner to teach us all a lesson about our own art history. Thanks, Jens, that was cool.
