commented on Russian Vodka Boycott Strategies: "Sorry, We're Out of Stoli."
I really think that this boycott (and all boycotts really) is kind of a one-legger. We are Americans, and we have always been more about what we do, not what we don't do. So, Chicago Fan, how about maybe adding something to the boycott, say ordering XX brand (maybe from the most gay friendly place you can find), so that it simply won't be about pointing to lost revenue, but pointing to another company and being able to say, "all the money they are making? That is the money that Stoli lost". Comparing this to the Chik-fil-A boycott, the big news wasn't that anybody was boycotting, it really got legs when people started going en masse to counteract the boycott. Because again, the story can't be just what is not happening...it MUST be about what is happening.

@1 Just a refresher:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL MEN are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain UNALIENABLE rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.[emphasis mine]
That doesn't mean some or most, it means ALL. Unalienable, means you don't get to choose when and if they apply.

In a soup, Mexican style is my fave. It's called posole. If I've been a good boy, I make it for my birthday every year.

Grandpa, tell us again why that boat is outside the house?
...Well kiddies, gather round and I'll tell you. Where is your grandma? Outside? Good, well, shush down and I'll tell you. I built that boat to save all the animals from a flood!
"Grandpa, you mean you put both of your goats in the boat?"
"Well, um, is your grandma still out there? Good. All of the animals! Every last one. Remember that time that I got your nose, and you didn't believe me till I showed you? Well, are you going to believe me this time or not?"
"Grandpa, here comes Grandma!"
"Okay, kiddies, so let me tell you about the time I chopped that tree down all by myself, in one day.--No, don't listen to your grandma, her brother DID NOT help me when I got stuck! I did it ALL ALOOOOOONE. Dammit woman, can't you let me tell the story how I want to!"

I found it interesting that the building is shown from many angles, all of which are from the prespective of "somebody who won't have to live there." There was no shots from inside one of the residential units, nothing showing how easy it will be to move from one place to another, as a matter of fact, nothing showing what it would be to live there AT ALL. Just panoramic shots to wow investors, government officials, and us waaay over here in the U.S. That tells me the best part of this building is looking at it from afar.
