Dorn Questions Gregoire's Proposal for a Unified Dept. of Education.
Just for the record I support the Governor's proposal. In the future Governor candidates would have to direct more attention to education issues in their campaigns and policies-- and also be held accountable. The elected Superintendant tends to be medicre with most of them being pawns of the teachers unions or the shool administration officials. A governor could appoint a more qualified head-- some one with a national reputation or a proven record of innovation or track record.

QFC Just Asked Me to Cross the Picket Line.
Obviously Stranger is paying unpaid intern too damn much. A paper that dedicates ityself to the plight of the average man and is desidedly anti-corporate would even let a scab in the office. His ethics is in obvious conflict to your mission and your readers. A scab is the worst of the lowlifes.

Why The Stranger Is Wrong About Everything.
Can him. He doesn't reflect The Stranger, it's readers or the community. In fact, he doesn't fit anywhere except his mirror as it is obviously just about him. Hopefully, he will grow up some day and realize he lives in a society with both responsibilities and privleges.

Durable Do-Gooders.
"The boyfriend" went out? I am surprised at the terminology. Isn't he more than a "boyfriend?" I thought you were partners and he could be called more than a boyfriend.

Dear Local Retail Establishments,.
To which I reply--"If you want my money--please offer more than a museum viewing experience. I want a product at a competitive price and service that a megastore can't provide. Look inward, dear shop keeper. You don't owe me a viewing room and I don't owe you a living."

Booze Everywhere.
Now if only Costco would also collect signatures on the pot initiative, too. They could also sell marijuana!

A Possible Meaning of the Tesla and Toyota Deal.
What a pompous opinion of oneself with this blanket summary decision--"Obama can pretty much consider his presidency ruined". Grow up. Study some history. Put things in perspective. Others have rightly noted Obama has had the most aggressive and successful beginning presidencies since FDR. But of course, that doesn't fit your bias that your belief system should have immediately been implemnted in the first 10 minutes of the presidency.
