Yep, get over the singular "they", which has only been around since before Shakespeare (although he used it too).

Are we going to complain about splitting infinitives next? (Hint: English has a two-part infinitive, so we CAN split it.)

Why on earth would anyone allow someone else to use their computer? UGH - like reading someone's private diary (ok for some, I suppose).

I agree with Dan, SLUT should DTMFA as soon as possible with his scary attitude, and secondly, password-protect her computer and leave it PRIVATE. If someone else wants to "borrow" it, don't let them unless you know how to set up a separate account.

Also, setting up a Flickr account is a good idea - you can upload your pics to it and set them to be public, friends-only or completely PRIVATE.

@justineplays - uh...... Are you serious?

They are coming out constantly. Just head over to a publisher's website like Mystic Rose Books (publishers of Laura Antoniou) or Pink Flamingo.

Ugh, I still dislike Heinlein, despite my kinkiness. I think you had to read it in the 60s, or before the age of 20, to be susceptible to it, especially if you're female. Some writers you need to be exposed to at a formative age (for example, I have a soft spot for McCaffrey, but that is entirely because I read her Dragon books in my early teens).

As for Matisse's comments, I think they may apply to those of us who ID as "queer" rather than just gay/lesbian as well, or perhaps those who say that being queer is a central part of our identities rather than "I'm just like everyone else except who I sleep with."

So, OneTrickPony, what exactly IS the issue with mercury in some vaccines? Where is the data that shows that people are getting sick from certain flu shots and anti-venins?

If there is this huge cover-up, great, but it helps to know WHAT is actually being covered up...

Reyes Syndrome from aspirin use seems to have a correlation in under-12s in an epidemiological sense, even if the mechanism isn't yet known. So what exactly is the syndrome that you reckon comes from mercury-preserved vaccines? Because it sure ain't autism.

@jenesaisquoi and anyone else bitching about "discrimination" because some people want to create what they feel to be a safer space - get back to us after you have experienced overt discrimination (job, accommodation, daily life), gay-bashing, personal abuse or homophobic trolling before saying there is no need for such a space.

If you're privileged enough not to have experienced such things, or fear them, how wonderful for you. For many other women, that is not the case - you have no right to dictate what makes people feel more secure.

Sounds like typical earnest-vego slop. You can make bloody awesome tomato sauce with olives, capers and tasty things, and serve that with real gnocchi. I make cannelloni stuffed with chestnuts, two kinds of mushrooms, garlic and red wine all blended together until almost mince-like, and baked with a rich tomato sauce. Now, that's worth eating.

I love carbs, but this all sounds like stodge of the first degree. Vegan "mac and cheese" - give me a break. I wouldn't even eat the real thing in a restaurant. Not to mention the kale. Ugh.

Is there a Godwin's Corollary for the use of "feminazi" in a thread by a threatened straight man (or anyone else)?

33 missed the point, I feel, but Yawgmoth must be missing the caves and the mastodons, that is if his intellect can stretch to those advanced concepts.

In other words, forced to choose between him and his so-lovely alternative, where's the freeway again, so I can start playing chicken?

LidaRose, in what universe, exactly, is the intense of breathplay Matisse is discussing *not* edgeplay?

And Matisse makes it fairly clear that's what's she's talking about on her blog: "Doing a scene like that - one where, if things go wrong, someone dies on the spot - is called edgeplay, and I admit openly it’s not my kink."

@Sergei - you'd be so lucky as to be in the same room with someone as hot as Matisse. As for "dour and humourless", oh please. Perhaps you should read a little more from the person you're trying to characterise in that way -- but then again, she doesn't actually need 12-year-old boys like you as "readers".

@BurlyGirl - get a grip. Non-monogamy essentialists like you are just as bad as the fundamentalist HOLY MONOGAMY FOREVURRR types that give us shit.

In every human quality I can think of, there is a spectrum. This includes sexuality. Which also includes monogamy/non-monogamy. A spectrum means that you WILL have asexual people, celibate-by-choice people, lifetime monogamous, serially monogamous, whatever that "closed-poly" thing is I can't remember, polys, swingers and sluts (by which I mean people who don't do relationships at all, nothing negative).

And while many people may not currently be aware of the full range of options, it doesn't mean that everyone will become automatic screw-anything exponents as soon as they see the light. Me, I'm poly, and I'm happy to have casual flings from time to time (when I'm in relationships and when I'm not). There's no way in hell you'll get me to an orgy or swingers' event, but that's my personal aversion to group or public sex. That's where I am on the spectrum.
