@23 since 2010 the US has been getting negative real interest rates on government debt, we actually save money by borrowing it now rather than later, so the smart thing to do is use this opportunity to reinforce our fragile recovery with spending so that we're in a stronger position to make cuts in a stable economy when interest rates increase.

Our local agency has weapon control as part of the academy, in the exercise you have to keep your gun away from the instructor for a full minute and the instructor knows every trick to get it away from you. It is apparently a common area for people to fail out of the academy at. More agencies could probably benefit from this training/qualification to be redone every few years, but as mentioned this requires money and cities and counties just don't have the budget for it.

@2: I had the exact same experience at 25 plus I had a routine HIV screening done and was lectured about safe sex and drug use at absurd length despite my assurances that I was extremely safe, monogamous, never did drugs, etc.. which must not have been true since I was getting an HIV test. Seriously, medical community, wtf.

I imagine that he pretends Cody is struggling with homosexuality a lot. I feel bad for the guy, but his self-hatred is now endangering vulnerable kids. It's like abuse victims who go on to abuse others.
