I never understood why veggie places are so fixated on fake meat. There's such amazing variety and flexibility with vegetables that I often find sides more interesting than the meat they come with. Why don't veggie places just concentrate on delicious vegtable dishes instead of the almost-certainly-destined-to-fail copies of meat dishes?

I used to go to a poker night with a very diverse group- a Jew, Italian, African-American, Irish, Latino, Pacific Islander, etc., etc. The major running jokes were about the various stereotypes and it was all in good fun. The Italian guy had a huge flag on his wall that he was so proud of and one night the Mexican guy brought over a big pic of the eagle and snake and slapped it on there.
So anyway I have no problem with the "ethnic" but the "nite" I CANNOT STAND. "Nite" "tonite" those aren't real words people! And they're only one letter shorter than the properly spelled word! Just don't do it! It's not worth it!

Hang in there femwanderluster. Trying to get people to realize who they should really be directing their anger and resentment at has historically been very difficult in this country.

Anyway, I recommend "Self-Made Man" by Norah Vincent for a totally different perspective the pressures men face. It's sort of a "Black Like Me" for gender relations.

@22: Maybe you ARE dumb. Read the comments about the difference between creepy and non-creepy looking again, think about them reeeeally hard, and see if you can imagine how someone staring at you with a lascivious look on their face while you are trying to do everyday activities would not be welcome. Then we'll see.

And I agree with #5, these are just Darwin Awards waiting to happen.
