It's a shame that when the PI was shut down, Seattle lost the only real daily newspaper in town. Luckily there are some alt weeklies who do a better job than the Times (and win Pulitzers too!).
This just reinforces my "vote against anyone the Times endorses" motto.

*no offense, Slog - you're actually better than a daily paper in many ways. But you'll never have readership to the level where you can create shared-experience between strangers ("hey, did you read that piece in the Slog today..."). Mostly because of the nudity, bad language, and edgyness - take that stuff out, and you've also removed the fun.
