That said, ripping on anyone who wears a flannel shirt or thick-framed glasses is just as idiotic as ripping on anyone for simply playing video games or for ever listening to metal music. It's pretty normal not to devote all your mental energy to boycotting "all things [hipster/nerd/goth/hillbilly/etc]

Hell, even the "overdone" people mentioned above are usually insufferable on their own, and their overdone fashion is a symptom rather than the reason.
