Qaddafi's Libya was extremely anti-radical islam, women were equal and the Government was pretty secular for the region. I am not surprised to see the radical Muslim element that was supported by the NATO bombing campaign fall at the hands of the Libyan People.

The rest of your post is nothing but wishful thinking, fantasy & make believe. I can do it too: if McCain had been elected, we'd all ride purple unicorns. McCain would have increased oil subsidies a thousand fold and thus gas would be 50 cents a gallon. See how easy that is? None of it has anything to do w/ anything.

Bottom line, you can argue about Obama's policies. You can't do that w/ GOP policies, because they're all based on fantasy. It's like listening to geeks argue over who's better, Batman or Spiderman. Nothing in the conversation has any practical application. It's all about emotional need & make-believe. Immigrants, welfare, social security, medicare, none of these things are "ruining" America. Banks who illegally manipulate & crash the economy w/o any fear of reprisal are ruining America. They can do that because they have one party wholly subservient to them, w/ enough left over to buy half of the other party.

@5 - Under a Republican president (if John McCain was president) our Ambassador to Libya would have been take out of harms way on anniversaries of 9/11. President McCain would have heeded the warnings of such an attack.

President McCain would also attend White House daily security briefings, instead of just reading and executive summary. President McCain would want the insights and conversation that can only result from team meetings, where hard questions are asked and advisers can relate their opinions that are not included in an 'executive summary'.

President McCain, would know that Al Qaeda is on the move again, and would not play politics with the lives in the world for the sake of re-election by pretending that Benghazi wasn't a terrorist attack.

@I'd guess libyan's are expecting a lot of US money and/or scared shitless about getting bombed out over the murders. I'd also think in a few years they'll start piecing together/conjure from thin air the bits and pieces of what had happened and what exactly US did or didn't do. These are pure conjectures, but I base them on a lifelong experience of living outside america :) I don't mean offence, it's just a perspective thing.
