2. For those who may not know, the US has been engaging in massive economic warfare with Iran for the past two years (or more). (To say nothing of the cyber espionage and sabotage.) This has led to massive price fluctuations, the destruction of the value of the rial, shopkeepers using the U$D as a primary currency, and has prompted Iran to shift major commerce (ie. oil/gas purchases) to both gold and the Chinese yuan.

I don't think that Iran's cutting off Google search and Gmail --regrettable as that action is-- will have *that* significant of an impact vis-à-vis what is already going on now.

Between the economic warfare, computer/virus warfare, and Israel's frequent bellicose pronouncements of near-term attack, the US-Israel dyad is probably trying to bankrupt Iran into overspending with increasingly worthless money.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
