I'll tell you why doctors are against it... It's because they haven't heard about it. Doctors can be some of the most arrogant assholes around. And it they haven't heard about something medicinal or "healing" then it most be bad for you or it will not help you. My brother told me this and he IS a doctor. I had never even heard of kratom before a family friend (and MD) introduced it to my wife years ago for alleviating menstrual cramps. She swears by it as a natural alternative pain reliever and muscle relaxer.

With prescription drug abuse being so prevalent, you'd think that a leaf - purely 100% natural extract - wouldn't even be involved in the conversation.

If people will abuse anything from cough syrup to chocolate, why is it up to the government to grant the stamp of kratom approval one way or the other?

Where are their scientific studies (not sensationalized media promulgation formerly known as journalism) supporting kratom as this dirty street level designer drug?

We have plenty of testimonials from happy customers that use kratom as a natural alternative to help treat symptoms related to Crohn's Disease, IBS, Endometriosis, Joint Pain, Insomnia, and Anxiety related health maladies.

The proof is in the pudding. It's a crushed up leaf, that is unprocessed and 100% natural - at least that is the type of product we sell, I can't speak for anyone else. There certainly are the less than savory opportunistic bunch out there that market this natural ayurvedic remedy as a 'legal high.'

I laugh at that stuff....people will sniff, snort, smoke, inhale, or topically apply anything - should we also ban spray paint, glue, tobacco, alcohol, and anything else just because some stupid moron chooses to abuse it?

Minors, yes - don't give them access to kratom, and punish the people that do just like cigs or booze. beyond that...it's a free country!

I'm proud to live in the greatest country in the world ~ let's keep it that way!

Great article to at least broach the alternative viewpoint, must've taken some heat from the editors in publishing this counterpoint to all the kratom fodder that's out there.
