@5 @7 So I can certainly accept the Huck Finn argument. And yeah, if he's gonna choose this material, it's gonna have to be spoken in dialect.

But whatever the merits of the material, Steinbrueck had to know that it was going to make the audience uncomfortable. And for what? Was there some larger point he was making?

I just think it shows poor political judgment on his part. I mean, nobody believes that "Letter to an Innocent Bystander" is really Ed Murray's favorite "book." So even if this is Steinbrueck's favorite book, his campaign would have been better served by choosing something else.

I think the blackvoice thing goes back to choice of material; you just can't read the words as written without adopting the voice in which they were written.

Once Steinbrueck was doing that reading, failing to do it up would be in many ways worse; sort of like when someone is going along with their very own copy of a rap song, but looks at you sheepishly instead of dropping the N-bomb and you can tell they'd have spit it if you weren't there.

It was immediately drawn to it as a song that she might have liked if she'd like any rock and roll, and will always associate with her.

Yeah, like @1 said, GSIH, use this to your advantage! Watch gay porn together, do some fantasizing or role-play, or if you're adventurous enough, see if you can find some gay or bi guys who'd like to do some same-room action. This isn't a problem, it's a fun turn-on!

well the guy said she "stepped way over the line", so i'm not even sure if the stuff he wanted her to talk about involved her fucking other dudes. sounds more like he likes to hear about guys hitting on her and any sexy thoughts she might have about the situation.

Letting your trainer grope you and then jerking him off is a completely different situation. I hope she was making it up, because if not it's definitely an acceptable reason for the guy to divorce her.
