@8: Your problem is that you see no difference between a historical fact, and what you see as what it means. You do it in every post.

Here, you are factually correct in your timeline of the Petraeus issue, but you claim, in the face of evidence, that this happened so that Petraeus would not have to testify on Bhengazi.

When of course, he still is going to testify, meaning that the affair has no bearing on Bhengazi. You see, when someone resigns from a job, they are not dead. They can still be called into court.

It is the complete fabrication of why it happened that makes it a crackpot conspiracy theory. Your inane commentary is not fact. Your claim that it was all a conspiracy so that Petraeus does not have to testify is not fact. This is why no one takes you seriously, and no one should.
@7, evidently there's much you don't understand, beginning with the fact there is no actual media extant in America.

Firstly, the "social or special liaison" to the base which is HQ of the Joint Special Operations Command, initiates an FBI investigation, which leads to the resignation of the CIA director days prior to his scheduled testimony on Benghazi.

Secondly, the lady ID'ed by the feebs of Robert Mueller III's FBI, has an intel background. Next, the commanding general of forces over in Afghanistan, soon to head NATO's military command, is now involved and his command transfer is on hold.

Perhaps this is the unique time when it "just happened" --- but too much falls conveniently into place, especially now as the former Bush White House CIA aide, presently the acting CIA Director Morrell, will be the one testifying before congress.

Don't understand the overall picture myself, but too many pieces appear to fall too conveniently into place for whatever the real agenda might be.....

The Media? What Effing Media ? ? ?

The other day Goldy criticized a submediocre Seattle Times’ columnist, coinciding with a CNN hit job on American citizens who think critically (i.e., have zero confidence in the so-called American media --- better known as the Skank News Network).

A perfect case in point illustrates why there should be zero confidence: the New York Times' hiring of Mark Thompson, former director-general of BBC, as their chief executive, who was at the BBC during the spiking of the special exposing the pedophile former BBC personality, Jimmy Savile (chronically molesting underage girls, who actually bragged about it in his autobiography, and former victims recounted how Savile used girls' reform schools as his personal rape preserves).

George Entwhistle, who had been BBC director-general for less than two months, just resigned --- although Entwhistle really wasn't involved in the matter, it was Thompson who should have suffered the consequences, instead of being hired at the NY Times!

This is still an evolving situation at the BBC; reports vary on certain aspects. Evidently, after the exposé of Jimmy Savile was quashed, another pedophile special was rushed into production, but facts weren't verified and "gross libel" was televised instead (to quote one accurate commentary). The uncertain facts concern whether several other editors/BBC employees, who were suspended actually had anything to do with the original spiking, but due to their removal, fact checking apparently was also suspended on the second sloppy pedophile special?

So, Thompson, the New York Times' new chief executive, who should be held accountable for spiking that Jimmy Savile exposé of his many years of pedophile crimes while at the BBC, will now be responsible for who-knows-what at the Times --- definitely not a bastion of veracity where the news is concerned!

During the Bush administration, when the Council on Foreign Relations, the US Chamber of Commerce (USCoC) and individual state chambers of commerce (smaller CoCs) and business forums were promoting the North American Transnational Highway (the NAFTA superhighway, leading from a deep-water port on the Pacific coast of Mexico, built by China, through America and into Canada, circumventing American unions such as the Teamsters and ILWU, etc. --- the cheapest transportation and shipping system possible to destroy the workers and enrich the super-rich and their executives), an Australian multinational involved, the Macquarie Group, purchased over forty independent American newspapers in the central region of the USA, in order to halt criticism of that project.

This is what corporate so-called "media" looks like and why CNN finds it necessary to label any critics as "conspiracy theorists" --- no theory here, it's all easily verifiable fact, and facts can be pesky things to the criminal class.

On the Petraeus/Allen scandal, I don't understand why the media are treating it as a single scandal. Sounds like two completely separate scandals. Unless we're talking foursome.

The Kevin Clash thing seems like a case of an openly gay man who may have made a stupid choice (sleeping w/ a 16 year old in a state where 17 is the legal age).

I'm hoping it doesn't become a story that the right wingers latch onto in order to prove that gays are all child-rapers. That seems like the kind of spin Fox News would put on it.

As I understand it, there is some question as to whether the boy was under age at the time, apparently a previous investigation showed that he was not.

I have been grousing about this all morning.

-'gif', (always said with a hard 'g' by the way) has never ever been used by anyone as a verb. And they stopped being a big deal 5 years ago.
-'yolo' is an acronym. The indicated phrase is not by any means new or interesting.
-Super PAC and Higgs boson are not words.
-Superstorm is no different from super storm.

Which leaves Eurogeddon and Nomophobia. Yawn. I'm truly offended by the sorry state of oxfordian lexicography. Can we not do better?
