The more specific "Reagan's Roach-Ridden Old Apartment Building" doesn't evoke quite the nostalgia.

Surprisingly, pasting "832 E. 57th St" into Google Maps doesn't trigger an autocomplete for Chicago. Not much traction for this story?

It's just an apartment that he lived in briefly. It's silly for conservatives to be upset about that. Obama's childhood residence, an apartment in Honolulu where he spent a considerable amount of time should be preserved. Almost every American President deserves a library at least those that have served a full term (4 years). Not sure about William Henry Harrison who served only 90 days (?) and died in office or John Tyler who basically was a traitor AFTER his Presidency, he was a Confederate. My understanding is Obama's library site has yet to be selected.

Reagan's home is already preserved or at least acknowledged in the National Historic Places Registry. I've actually seen it. It's in Dixon, Illinois. I believe Reagan was born in nearby Tampico, IL.
