<![CDATA[Looking for a place to hide away from hipster, shoegazing douche bags? Mars Bar is the place. Thursday nights seem to always have better music than most clubs, except when Built to Spill is playing the ShowBox! Damn you Doug and your Dwarf son!

<![CDATA[We ate brunch on the weekend. Very good food, fun service, and a very positive vibe. We ordered a 'fruit plate' with the meal, expecting a generic bananna/grape/etc deal - and were blown away with a very creative seasonal presentation with pomegranate. Loved it.

<![CDATA[I used to go there all the time when my girlfriend worked nearby. Consistently good food (the mac & cheeze is a huge guilty pleasure), unpretentious atmosphere, and interesting art. Perhaps best of all, the owner is both very friendly and sexy as hell. When she's not there, however, the service was noticeably a little slower (but still friendly).

<![CDATA[I love Cafe Venus. Sandwiches, pizzas, pasta... Always ask the pasta special. Mac and cheese is great, turkey brie sandwich is special, and good beer on tap. Plus the ever changing artwork is always fantastic. Not the 100% best place in Seattle, but one I go back to again and again.

<![CDATA[Mars Bare is a fine neighborhood bar. Hell now that the Lobo is gone and the neighborhood is going high end, it's one of the only neighborhood bars. However, It's best feature is the food at Cafe Venus (it's twin sister). Brunch on Saturday's with their Pint of Mimosa is the greatest idea since the invention of fire.

<![CDATA[This is always worth the walk before a show at El Corazon. (Although that walk is always way longer than you think it will be!) I've never had a bad meal here and it's fun. (I haven't been in awhile but if they still have no A/C, then yikes. It was an oven in the summer.)
