I agree with Becky Brown. Go to a Sultan's in Chicago and you'll wish Aladdin's was like them. But still, when I'm on the Ave, both Aladdin's are my first choice for cheap food. Friendly, genuine staff too. When I lived in Ravenna, I would sometimes forget cash and they'd let me eat first and then run to the Wells Fargo to get cash. Cool cool.
Not fancy by any means, and the menu isn't extensive, but the gyros are great. The food is cheap, with large gyros costing only $5, and they are comparable to (if not better than) gyros I've had at expensive Greek restaurants. Give Aladdin's a try, you'll want to come back.

The flavor and aroma are exactly what you want from Middle-Eastern food, plus its fast and easy and cheap.

Having been nearly 5 years since graduating from the UW, I still get my falafel fix by taking a bus from my boring downtown office job to enjoy Aladdin's outstanding food. You can't beat the price and environment, although I did see some mysterious stains on the back couch. Must have been that secret falafel special sauce. Bottom line: Well worth the 45 minute round trip bus ride. The falafel's are great even if you havn't been drinking.
