What do you get when you cross an American-style romantic comedy with the French? Le cheeze. A cute, goofy music teacher has to get a real job, winds up working a funeral home, and hides this fact from his new poulet. Corpse-related hilarity follows. Plus: misunderstandings and happy endings and Gérard Depardieu as the music teacher’s cranky sculptor-father. It’s goofy and predictable, but diverting nonetheless.
