Yes, director Chuck Workman once won an Oscar for a short film. But that just proves what I've been trying to tell you about short films—the bar is so much lower that even the stupidest schlock gets called the best in the land. In Search of Kennedy is the worst movie that could possibly be made about the popular legacy of John F. Kennedy. It involves lots of pixelated photographs, which director insists on zooming in on, PBS style, so as to further exaggerate their blocky illegibility. It contains almost no facts, though many random citizens in Boston taverns and Arlington Cemetery are quizzed about their feelings. It's tragic. Avoid at all costs.
