The documentary Mr. Big exposes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s dirtiest secret, a sting operation called “Mr. Big” where cops pose as criminals and get sometimes innocent people to falsely confess to a crime. While that’d be considered entrapment in the United States, Canadian courts recognize a confession made under such circumstances. When her brother is charged with murdering a family in Bellevue after being tricked by Mr. Big, the film’s director, Tiffany Burns, ditches her position as a news anchor to uncover the shocking practice.
