Monks: The Trans-Atlantic Feedback
Transatlantic Feedback is the relatively cut-and-dry tale of the evolution and dissolution of a typical '60s Beat band, a genre better known now as "garage." However, the Monks were NOT a typical Beat band (ahem), which is why THEY get a movie! They were 5 GIs in Germany playing together as the Torquays who, after some artful managers got involved, reinvented themselves as the Monks and shattered the acceptable pop/R&B conventions of Beat music.
