Strangercrombie 2010: The Stranger's Annual Holiday Gift Auction

Da Artz Opera, Writers, and a Personal Audience with Wendell Berry

Opera, Writers, and a Personal Audience with Wendell Berry

Donated by Seattle Opera / Town Hall / Richard Hugo House / Seattle Arts & Lectures

Know someone who likes opera and lectures? Neither do we, which is why we're putting this stuff in Strangercrombie instead of taking it for ourselves. (We kid, we kid.) So! Two tickets to the January 28 performance of The Barber of Seville—perhaps the world's funniest opera—and two tickets to the May 20 performance of The Magic Flute at Seattle Opera. Plus two founder's-tier tickets to the 2010-2011 season of Seattle Arts & Lectures. These tickets get you into the event, plus postevent receptions with the season's speakers (Pulitzer Prize-winner Elizabeth Strout, African-American historian Nell Irvin Painter, National Book Award-winner Joyce Carol Oates, and a few others). We'll throw in two pairs of tickets to any event (advance notice required) at Town Hall in 2011. AND THAT'S NOT ALL. The winner of this package will also get a personal greenroom audience with poet and environmentalist Wendell Berry on May 24. Eeeeeeee! To top it off, the winner will get a household membership (two adults and any youth under 18) to Richard Hugo House. That means discounts, early registration for popular classes, invitations to members-only parties, and 10 percent off all books purchased at Elliott Bay Book Company. Srsly.

Closed at $425.00
