Strangercrombie 2010: The Stranger's Annual Holiday Gift Auction

Strangercrombie: Once a Year, We Do Something Good

Welcome to Strangercrombie 2010, The Stranger's annual gift auction. This year, our auction will benefit two very good causes: Childhaven and Downtown Emergency Service Center (you can read The Stranger's profile of these organizations here).

Our first Strangercrombie was a last-minute idea in the fall of 2002. Instead of the boring holiday-shopping issues that most alt-weeklies produce, we wanted to raise money for a great local charity. So we gathered some swag from around the office, asked a few businesses to kick in some merchandise, and even put our own pages up for sale. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and our readers, the first Strangercrombie auction brought in more than $6,000 for Northwest Harvest. We were stunned.

Last year, we raised more than $50,000 by selling sex toys, "water" pipes, our own integrity, and various other Christmassy goodies. If you have any questions about the Strangercrombie auction, feel free to contact us using the little box to the right.

Strangercrombie bidding ends on Wednesday, December 15th at 5 pm!
