The late choreographer Pina Bausch was not just any great choreographernot just technically demanding, not just an inspiration to earths most incredible dance artists, not just a maker of movements that seem completely normal and totally unfamiliar at the same time. Her combination of dance and theater was one of the 20th centurys great revelations. And Wim Wenderss film tribute to her is visceral. Its 3-D. You feel the dancers punch themselves in the gut, fall to the ground, dive through each others arms. This is in the running for the best dance movie ever made.
