In Nathan DiPietros innocent-looking scenesshowing stylistic influences from 1930s American regionalist paintingthe intrusions in the landscape are guilty and jarring. Theres the Green River, rolling along prettily but dominating its far bank is a squat beige building: an LA Fitness center. He grew up around Issaquah, since swallowed by cookie-cutter developments like the Highlands, which are also captured in his paintings. This show is all new works, all based on local lookings and watchings and findings. (Woodside/Braseth Gallery, 2101 Ninth Ave, www.woodsidebrasethgallery.com, 11 am6 pm, free) by Jen Graves
