Restaurant Details

  • Arosa's snack waffles are what Eggos hope to be in the afterlife. More or less round, these couple-buck bargains are self-sweetened, with balls of pearl sugar that melt on contact with the iron and turn into a half-crispy, half-sticky glaze. This charming little joint also serves up panini sandwiches for those who require sturdier sustenance before their waffle consumption.

mmmmm...

the owner is always there and sweeter than the waffles, which are incredibly tasty. also, the chocolate he uses is slightly bittersweet and rich and amazing - i love the hot chocolate, i've heard the mochas are delicious, too.

Hans rocks

The waffles are a good sugar fix (split one with someone if you can't handle sugar overload). The cocoa tasted a little burnt. But the elderly guy at the counter is sweet and has a touch of a foreign accent. Just like the waffles.

And their Panini sandwiches are good too

The vegetarian Panini is excellent for lunch. Have a waffle for dessert but stay away from the coffee.

Gaufre

What people refer to here as a Belgian waffle is almost never anything like a Belgian waffle. This is as close as you'll get in Seattle. And when they are warm they are really good. If you haven't had the waffle go there and try one. You won't be disappointed. The people are really nice too. The coffee could use a little work.
