Autumn 2001 Almanac

The Stranger's Incomplete Guide to Fall Arts

Yes, yes, yes, it's August, and you know what that means: Time to start planning how to be entertained for the next three months. To that end, we here at The Stranger have compiled an intentionally incomplete (space restrictions, you know) crop of listings, picks, and profiles of the forthcoming fall's brightest artistic lights. Look within and find a list of movies, records, books, performances, and art exhibits all of which will be shown, released, performed, and exhibited between the months of September and November!*

* A few disclaimers: (1) All dates are subject to change. (2) All picks are speculative, so we reserve the right to change our mind when covering the events in the paper proper. (3) As stated before, this compendium is incomplete, since many bookers have not yet lined up a confirmed fall schedule; readers are urged to continue reading The Stranger each week for the up-to-the-minute arts coverage and listings for which we've become beloved around the world. Otherwise, lock up your daughters--here comes the Autumn Almanac.
