Hits the spot

Ok so theres only one damn sandwich on the menu for us vegetarians but its a good one (meat eaters - can you ever go wrong with salumi meats, cos thats what they offer). Can't go wrong with the braised tofu sandwich (lovely bread) and share a serving of the delectable tuffle fries. If you're really hungry top it off with a glass of hoegarden. Its no match for the mighty Paseo but sometimes you're just craving a darn good sandwich and can't be bothered to go to Fremont for it. Warning: They often run out of bread so fair warning in case you're heading there nearer to closing time.

Oh yum. YUM, yum.

Chicken, as a rule, does not thrill me. I eat it only if I have to (as in: if there's no other protein source for miles) but BB's drunken chicken sandwich is one treatment I will go out of my way to score. The chicken is tender, the breading a perfect puffy-crispy cocoon, and then there's the sauce. The fricken sauce! It's sweet and tangy, and when they coat the chicken fried nirvana and lay the whole mess on one of those (also) puffy-crispy vietnamese/french baguettes that has been drizzled with soy sauce--oh...ohh...sweet, salty, tangy, crispy, garnished with cilantro, accompanied by truffle fries and washed down with a nice cheap glass of red--CHRIST! I'm lucky my head doesn't explode! ***P.S.*** Same owner as the pricey (but worth it) Monsoon on 19th. Get your drunken chicken fix here for half the price. Or eat some killer stinky-ass salami. Or the best tofu san ever. You can get a good one cheaper at almost any vietnamese restaurant, but it'll be a lot smaller and it won't have huge slabs of killer marinated tofu like this one.

Delicious!

The sandwiches are amazing here, and they are unlike most things you can find in Seattle. The truffle dries are delicious and I like the drunken chicken sandwich. Its huge and messy, but extremely good.

ka-YUM

3 words. Truffle Oil Fries. Delightful, if not a bit messy sandwiches and little on the pricy end for every day. But the food it excellent. I've tried most everything on the menu and never been disappointed but I keep coming back to the "Drunken Crispy Chicken" sandwich. t3h awesome.

Very Happy

I hit this little place on Capitol Hill with my sis and a friend before going to a show and I was very happy with the food. I had the drunken chicken and she had a lamb baguette. I think the friend got a tofu sandwich. We were all very happy with our choices and the truffle fries were lovely! Light and crispy, but very flavorful. The seating can get a little awkward, but otherwise we loved it.

So-so...

A friend and I ate there one recent afternoon and were not impressed with either of our sandwiches. They were both bland and fairly uninteresting. I'll give it another try but definitely did not live up to the hype.

baguette bliss

Drunken chicken and pulled pork with apricot aioli... soft yet crispy baguette, fresh greens, cilantro, wow! Don't miss it.

Drunken Chicken

I just tried this place last weekend after walking by it dozens of times since it opened in Fremont. Why did I wait so long?! The sandwiches are delicious - I especially like the drunken chicken. It is really too cool of a place to be lodged in between a Peet's and a Coldstone Creamery, but I'm glad we have one in the neighborhood.

Yum!

I love Baguette Box, I've had almost all the sandwiches and they never disappoint. It's hard not to order the tuna every time (comes with hard boiled egg!). Perfect meeting place for friends . The truffle fries are heavenly. The prices are great.

Great Food!

I am addicted to the Tofu Baguette! Fried tofu, some kind of strange wonderful crunchy pickeled vegetables, cilantro and some kind of delicious sauce all placed on a baguette baked to perfection. Add to this a side of cold sliced beets sprinkled with feta cheese and walnut oil AND french fries with truffle oil and sea salt and OH MY WORD!!

decent for veggies, but go for the meat

I was a little hesitant to go today because it seemed perhaps the quality wasn't as good when they first opened on the Hill (that last drunken chicken seemed a lil' salty n soggy) but the tofu sam I got today was filling and flavorful. That said you could get a bahn mi for half the price elsewhere, but if you are dining with meat eating friends (and it sounds like that is where they excell) you have choices. The roasted beets were good, if maybe a tad too much olive oil. But it's good for you right? They did have a yellow squash eggplant sam too, but eggplant makes my mouth itchy.

The Fresh Seasonal Sides

I'm am so very thankful that the sides are fresh and seasonal and delicious. You come in thinking you will have the same thing as last time because it was so good but what's fresh is on the menu, not necessarily your fave and you get hooked on the new and there is no "usual" for you because it's M.F.ing FRESH. Ride the crave.

Truffle Fries, my god

With your pork, you should get an order of the delightful truffle fries. They will blow your mind with truffled goodness. Crispy, earthy.

Pork Out

Get the pork shoulder braised in red wine you will be glad you did. Also when they have their beef stew you should get it. Their little mixed green salad is great with the heavier sandwiches. At first their bread wasn't right but now they've nailed it.
