wonderful stuff, way too pricey...

$24 box of pasteries seems a bit much without a happy ending.

hot cross buns

We looked online for bakeries in Seattle that sold Hot Cross Buns and were led to Bakery Nouveau.

These are the most delicious Hot Cross Buns we have ever eaten. Our guests on Easter morning loved them.
We can hardly wait until next year when we will order twice as many.

THANK YOU

Absolutely worth the trip

Please make the trip and give this bakery a taste. Last Monday I again treated myself to a twice-baked almond croissant and a slow, satisfied smile spread across my face while eating. The quality of their products is outstanding. The supposed slow service is only a function of the bakery's popularity. I have never experienced more that a few minute wait, but I needed the time to make up my mind. My waistline won't allow me to visit daily, but if girth were no object, I would be there now, tomorrow and the day after that.

Nothing Beats a Warm Baguette

The warm baguette, lovingly wrapped in parchment, was the highlight of my day. I just walked in there expecting to get one of the baguettes that was in the display. It says a lot about this bakery that I was handed one of these babies without asking, still warm from the oven! I ate a bunch of it in the car on the way home. Yum.

Awesome goodies, service too slow

We love it and eat their stuff all the time, but I have walked out more times than I can count on my fingers because the line is long and the service is slow

Worth the trek to West Seattle

Amazing across the board. From the sandwiches like the Croque Monsieur to the twice baked almond croissant, definitely worth the drive and the wait in line on the weekends. The one thing that West Seattle has that I'm jealous of.

Nothing better in Seattle

The baguette made me want to speak French, even though I can't! And don't get me started on the perfect croissant. It's not exactly close by but it's now on my "must visit every week" list.

All is good

I personally know people who drive 30 minutes several times a week to load up at this bakery. During every one of my recent visits (about 10 since they opened recently) I've tried something different ~ & every time I've come away VERY satisfied. It's like they've somehow perfected the art of baked bread, pastries & hand-made chocolates all in one place. Definitely try the Parmesan cheese bread, Rocher (a mound of chocolate-covered, candied slivered almonds) and double-baked croissants. NOTE: if they are sold out of your favorite bread & you're willing to wait 20 minutes, ask them to bake you one and they will!

Yummy

Delicious cappuccino, sumptuous pastries, very european melted meat/cheese sandwiches. I didn't think I'd miss the Remo Borrachini's that previously occupied this space, and I don't, with the exception of the freshly baked bread. Because while I'm certain the $5 loaf at Bakery Nouveau is far, far superior to the $1 loaves at Remo's, I just haven't yet been able to bring myself to pay that much for a loaf of bread. I'm sorry, Bakery Nouveau. I'll work on it. It's not you, it's me.

Unearthly baguettes

The baguettes are not of this earth - there's something spooky about them. If ever a loaf of bread deserved to be a meal in and of itself, this is it.

nothing says lovin' like something from their oven

My boyfriend and I get total bread boners from this place. Table hoggers can be a problem on the weekends, which can be an issue of embarrassment when you're clutching a twice-baked croissant and a latte and you really, really need to sit down.

Why to live on the Westside

This place is packed to the doors on weekends but the staff are quick witted, quick to smile and make a mean Lighthouse espresso. The 'goods' are amazing, light, buttery and original. I can't say much more than 'Addiction' It helps that their hours are six am to seven pm making it a stop no matter the occasion.

Killing me softly with fresh warm bread...

and delicious pastries, and handmade chocolates, and cakes, and sandwiches, and did I mention the pastries? If you want a smart looking box of treats to bring to a party, you come here.
