Ever grabbed a slice from some placed in NY with "Ray's" in the name?
That's the type of pizza you're getting here, and it's awesome for what it is. If you want a ton of toppings, or a super spicy sauce, or a Neapolitan pizza there are a lot of places around here for those. If you want this type of pizza, AFAIK, this is it.

Crust? Terrible. Everything Else? Awesome.
Wanted to love it. Really, really, really wanted to love it. But somehow they were able to create a crust that's completely devoid of any flavor. Seriously.
I never understood the old expression, "It tastes like cardboard," but damn if their crust doesn't actually taste like I imagine cardboard does.
I'm surprised the Stranger's reviewer didn't have a similar experience. This isn't a question of being pizza snobby. I'll say it again: both times I've dined there the crust was WITHOUT FLAVOR. Either they've completely ripped up their crust recipe and come up with something awesome, or the bar for pizza quality must be pretty low around here.
I'd love for the place to be great. I can't say that enough. The location, the ambiance, the beer selection, the prospect of delivery. The toppings. The sauce. Awesome. The crust? Terrible.
