Gracious Dinning at its Best

Beam's Restaurant on First Hill is the definition of fine dinning. We were greeted warmly at the front door, escorted to a comfortable table and from then on, it only got better. The seafood chowder was delicious and the rib eye steak just the way I ordered it. The scallops and side dishes of sprouts and potatoes were cooked as well, if not better than any place we've been. The Brussels sprouts were delicious with a hint of garlic and lime. The service was professional and efficient. Everyone seemed to know exactly what to do and how to do it. I give only 4 stars because of the parking. But it's worth the trip.

Beam's - 5 Stars

Great dining, very continental, fair prices. Try it and have the pate, and the crabcake for starters. Try the chowder and/or the salads. The steaks are superb with a choice of sauces. They do have scallops as well as other entrees. Good wine list. We like wine with our food, not just food with our wine and know how to pair them well. Beam's has both.

Disbelief

I still can't believe that The Stranger or The Weekly has not reviewed this resaurant! What a shame too. This is the best new restaurant to open in Seattle in the 10 years that I've lived here! The service and the atmosphere are like no other establishment, and the food is other worldly. Scallops, steak and the light as air chicken in pastry. An easy to get to downtown location right across the street from the Town Hall and behind Convention Center, this is a must go to restaurant! Make your reservation today!!

Fantastic!

Oh my stars this place is grand! Great service, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. What more could anyone ask for? The steak was seasoned pefectly and grilled to your liking. The lump crab cakes are far superior to any I have tasted in Seattle so far. The deserts are divine. Try the apple tart, it is served with real cream. Great wine list. This is by far my favorite restuarant downtown. The romantic dreamy surroundings make you feel like you have been transported back in time. To an era of class and style! Thank you Beams! Well done indeed!
