Double Header 407 Second Ave, 464-9918 In a town like Seattle, where so many of the bars fill up after work on an average night, it's hard to find a spot to hide. And sometimes you want to hide. If so, Pioneer Square's DOUBLE HEADER is your place. Folks have been hiding there since it opened in the '30s, and the cavernous space is still a great den for grizzled old fishermen, Mariners fans, neighborhood artists, and out-of-towners who stumble upon it. There's no reason you shouldn't join them, to hide in a deep, worn wood booth with a pitcher of beer, soak up the place's history and loud music (either from the sound system, or occasional live bands), and forget where you are.
