Funky, Fun and Fabulous Food!

I have had the pleasure of dining at Bizzarro three times now, and have not been disappointed. The staff greeted us enthusiastically, seated us promptly, and were attentive (not overly so). Great wine, delicious food-my companions and I cleaned our plates, and topped it all off with some salted caramel ice cream (yum!). Bizzarro delivers a dining experience, not just a meal out.

The forest floor fenzy they have is the best pasta dish I've ever had. Every time I go there with someone who hasn't been there, I let them try a bite of mine and they are hooked. Great service, relaxed atmosphere, one of my favorite places. I dream of a day when I make enough money to eat there regularly (not that its over priced, I'm just very poor).

Holy Crap!!!

This place rocked! I was a little skeptical at first, not having heard much about this place, and the name seemed kinda un-sexy. Holy smokes was I in for a surprise. The prices were just right. The fig brushetta was the best thing that's happened to my mouth. Ever. Come hungry....enjoy the free salad....order short ribs and loosen a button of your pants while you're at it. Enjoy.

perpetually diappointing

Somehow everybody in this city but me loves this place. I've gone three times and found the pasta bland, the decor irritating, and the attitude ("nobody is fine with water", says a chalkbord) somewhat obnoxious. I keep forgiving it and trying again because my boyfriend loves it, and I keep being disappointed. To its credit, the desserts have always been good, I do like the bruschetta, and the location is great.

Fresh Pasta - Made Daily

This place is phenomenol. The ceasar salad was delicious, bread and associated dipping sauce scrumptious, pasta was to die for (check the specials board) and the tiramisu was superb. High class but low key (not stuffy). I highly recommend it.

Outrageous Italian!

Bizzarro is a great little italian joint that just keeps getting better. Last meal I had there consisted of fig gorgonzola bruschetta with a port reduction, prawns ala bizzarro, handmade yukon gold gnocchi and a scoop of chocolate hazelnut gelati to top it off. Amazing food, great atmosphere at a great price.

Perfect for any kind of dinner

Bizzarro consistently serves delicious bread, amazing ravioli, and a mushroom pasta dish (Forest Floor Frenzy I think it's called) that's so good, your friends will sneak enough forkfuls that you eventually just have to order another plate. This place is great for a date, great for groups, great for a few girlfriends just having a night out. The wait staff makes you feel like you're part of their cool group, and they're super knowledgeable about wines and completely cool when you tell them that honestly, you want to stay on the cheap side of wines. Awesome place. Just don't let your cell phone ring.

Great food Great atmosphere

Small and funky hidden jewl in Wallingford. Making a reservation ahead of time might be wise to avoid a long wait but even if there is one it's well worth it for the great for and interesting knowledgeable staff.

Always Fun

I've been coming here since my parents found it YEARS ago. As a just out of high-schooler, I'd take dates here (has it been open that long?!). Parking is tight in the area but the food is always exciting, and changing... as is the decor (sp).

Worth a try

I lived in Wallingford for several years and somehow never managed to try Bizzarro. Don't make the same mistake. I still have yet to try something that hasn't tasted great and the quirky-yet-hip setting seems to compliment the food quite well. The service is also excellent; let them guide you as they may. The only problem with Bizzarro is that it can be a bit pricey, but that's a fairly ubiquitous problem at any of the nicer Italian restaurants.
