Jamming with the Rolling Stones. Taking the stage to hordes of screaming fans. Making that personal connection with your musical idol. It's all part of your rock and roll fantasy. But the reality is typically different. Here, it's pure comedy.
Bring the Rock with Greg Behrendt (whom Bumbershooters may remember for his gut-busting performance opening for David Cross last year) presents confessional, compelling, and hilarious stories from comics and musicians about the music and bands that rock their world. Backing band Electric Snowflake (including Veruca Salt's Nina Gordon and Tonic's Jefferson Russo) provides the appropriate soundtrack and musical interludes. Special guests are a big part of the monthly Los Angeles version of Behrendt's hit show, so there's no telling which Bumbershoot artists might find themselves in the spotlight here, willing or otherwise.
