Can Can Castaways

Wed at 7:30 pm, Fri-Sat at 7:30 and 10:30 pm. Open-ended run.
The Can Can Castaways, as we've often said in The Stranger, are like a gateway drug for modern dance. People show up at the subterranean, red-lit bar, order a few drinks, expect to see some hardbodies dancing—and they get that. But what they also get is the expert choreography by Rainbow Fletcher and her team of dancers and designers (often the dancers are the designers) who create dreamscapes from the Moulin Rouge to a bondage club in Tokyo. Fletcher and her team have also performed at On the Boards and other, more august venues, and their marriage of artistry and sensuality is excellent.

Awsome show. Crapy service

The show was awsome the food was awsome (when we got it). It took an 1 1/2 hours to get our salads another 20 min. to get our dinner. we were never offered dessert because the show was over after we ate dinner. The thing that p*ssed me off the most was that a group of people came in 20 min after we did, and they got continued service through out the night they got their food 15 to 20 min before we did and we ordered first. They also took over 20 min. to bring us our drinks. My Wife and i won't go back because of the lousy service. And on top of that they make sure you tip them by adding the gratuity to your bill. Which they did not deserve. Service is everything.

save your money!

It was very dark, tight tables, overpriced, backdoor/garage type entertainment, very sloppy put together, and the MC was more like a jerk than host! the crowd was more entertaining to watch, never seen soooo many men gay couples in one spot in Seattle ever!! Our waitress was frightenly friendly and service was good. Wouldnt recomend this place at all...very disappointed!!

Watch Out!

Don't bother w/ a regular seat, you won't be able to see the show. If you must go, get VIP seating. We couldn't see the show unless we were standing or moved over to the bar. Don't go for the food. Plus, it was so dark when we were eating, who knows what we were really eating. Same...server disappeared. The topper...we were charged for $150 worth of drinks that were not ours. They took the $150 off the bill, but not before they charged us tax and tip on the $150. I have left messages for the ofc to have this corrected, but no one will call me back. I won't go back.

Unbelievable!

The show is absolutely amazing at this place. The performers are brilliant and sexy. It's unlike anything I've ever seen, and I spent the whole time entranced. Read the other reviews... paying for VIP is well worth it, you want to be up close. Food is good but portions are not huge. And don't make a reservation and then cancel, which this last one seems obvious to me. If you reserve for a party of 8 you are taking up their space and even if you show up with 4, you're out of luck. Any place that books out like this one has a policy like that.

I would consider this one of the coolest things I've found in Seattle. So worth every penny and the show is something you'll come back for again and again. The sexiest, most amazing, erotic, entrancing, breath-taking thing I've seen in a long time.

Great Sunday night fun

We saw the show last night for the first time, great value and fun show Vlady (spelling) and Rainbow are fantastic, I am not gay or Bi but Vlady is georgeous man, strong and incredible performer. This is not a vegas show but without a doubt way under valued fun. We'll be coming back.

Wonderfully Naughty

This was such a refreshing form of entertainment. Wow Wow Wow. I felt like I was in some kind of illegal merchant bar carved out of a cliffside in a dirty harbor somewhere far away. Johnny looks like his name is Horst, Benihana is so so handsome, Rainbow is so wonderfully inappropriate (violent tango) and Fuschia made me sweat by just looking at her.

Make sure you get VIP

Great show, tiny place, but cool atmosphere. Make sure you get there atleast 1 hr. before the show starts so you have some time to talk and enjoy your meal. I would not recommend this place for a first date nor for a party that wants to talk and enjoy each others company. Once the shows starts your on your own. That would be the only downfall, i would have liked to chat more. Besides that, hot dancers and cool music, food was pretty good...my advice, get drunk~!!

Rip Off! Watch Out!

I would NOT recommend this place. We made a reservation for 8, then realized that only 4 of us could make it. When we informed the hostess of this, she said we had to pay the cover charge for 8 anyway. She claimed that she had informed us of this policy when we made the reservation, which wasn't true. When we said this wasn't fair and that we were going to go elsewhere, she said she would charge our credit card for 8 people regardless of whether we stayed or not!! So what could we do? We stayed and paid for 8. We were shown to the tiniest table, barely room for two people. The adjacent tables were about two inches away. We also couldn't really see the stage. I had to stand for most of the show, which wasn't very impressive. The food was ok, small portions. Drink service was good at first, then our waiter disappeared. Also, each person was required to rack up at least a $25 bill in food/drinks, plus they add an automatic 20% gratuity onto your bill, regardless of how the service was. It turned out to be a very expensive, yet mediocre and frustrating night. We felt ripped off.

Never want to leave!

I could live in this place. Decor, food, show, hot people. Quit crying about petty shit and enjoy the best atmosphere in existence. McDonalds is down the street if you're looking for a corporate environment. If you've lived in Europe this is your place...only better.

they're cool, but they know it, which makes them not cool

1) The dancers are SPECTACULAR. 2) The servers are overworked and have little space to (over)work. 3) If you cancel your reservation, they charge your credit card $50 for the privilege. 4) VIP is the only place worth sitting. It's an extra $5 per person. PAY IT, and be sure you can attend, see rule 3. 5) The management, believe it or not, is awesome about "making things right" when things go wrong, but every time I go, SOMETHING goes wrong. 6) The food is FANTASTIC! 7) Did I mention the dancers? They're beautiful and amazing.

It has personality..

Get there early...this place fills to the brim during performances. I love the decor at the Can Can, I love the entertainment and energy of the place. The food is okay and the service can suck during shows but that's usually due to stressed servers. They lowered their cover charges from $10 to $5, which is a plus. The Can Can really shines after the shows when all the bachelorette partys clear out. Hop up to the bar and let Zack impress you with his extensive cocktilian knowledge. Best combination: Go on a Sunday night. You'll have the place practically to yourself. Great for a good drink of scotch and some deep thought!

Great Performance, Shitty Service

Inattentive rude server but the acts were excellent, especially considering the space they have to work in.

Can't see the show from the bar!

We arrived only 20 minutes before showtime and were lucky to get a seat in the bar. Unfortunately as the show started they continued to let people in to stand in front of us, then the bachelorette party with their stupid hats, couldnt see over them either. Either get there really early and eat dinner or reserve VIP seats,I guess they don't let people stand in front of you or get there late and get great standing room in front of the whole pissed off bar area!

Great atmosphere, but...

Love the vibe of this place, but I'm insulted by their happy hour policy: You can get happy hour-priced drinks at the BAR, but not if you're at a table in the restaurant area! RIDICULOUS! How is this even legal, charging one price for a drink at the bar, but twice the price 10 feet away??? Rude, inexplicable, a big turn-off. Same goes for happy hour food.
