Capitol Offense

On February 11, the House passed legislation, sponsored by the "volcanic" (says he) Rep. Ed Murray (D-43), to outlaw discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Will the Senate follow suit? Senator Val Stevens (R-39), Republican of Cuckooland, definitely won't be voting Ed's way. She's offering a constitutional amendment, thankfully DOA, to ban not only gay marriage, but also civil unions and even domestic partnerships.

Governor Christine Gregoire will hobnob with President Bush at a black-tie White House dinner that closes out the National Governors Association meeting this month. Will a photo of W. and Gregoire soon be entered as evidence undercutting Rossi's election lawsuit? --SK
