Never disappoints

We frequent this bakery at least twice a month for their amazing ham and cheese croissants, sticky buns, and pistachio snails. Staff is friendly and they have a cool ceiling fan. Macrina, eat your heart out!

Rustic breads and Delicate Pastries-I'm in love!

I am a well traveled foody, and I'm in love with this Bakery. The people are friendly, but most importantlythey take their craft very serriously. I've eaten pastries and baquettes in Paris-heck I'm from New York where good food is a plenty. Be happy that here in Seattle you not only have great ingredients like wonderful produce and sea food, but people who know how to prepare delicious foods. If you take patries and breads serriously-go to Columbia Bakery!

Most pretentious little bakery since liberal arts school

Why are you here, Columbia Cit Bakery? Why can't you offer a normal, unpretentious, sliced loaf bread for those of us that make alot of sandwiches, and don't understand Tapenade? Please, we need a decent loaf of bread and someplace to drink a leisurely cup of coffee. You, sadly, are the opposite. Yuck.

OMG Dangerously Good

First a word of caution. They are closed on Monday. More warnings: you will leave heavier then when you entered. I have been known to have a pastry and coffee and go back and do the same again. It is all but impossible to look at the vast and delicious selection and restrict yourself to only one measly thing. It all looks and tastes too good. I would recommend something but there is no point because it is ALL good. You might not want to bother with something like a sticky bun which other people can do alright with. Get something like a croissant or delicate pastry that requires real artistry/talent. The coffee could be better and more consistent. They should work at this because then they would be perfect. But frankly you could skip the coffee altogether and they'd still be worth the trip. We're lucky to have this place and others like it in Seattle - it's rare.
