What do you think about the journalists and commentators who are using words like "dominatrix" and "S&M" to describe Lynndie England and the abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib?
I think those folks should spend a weekend in Abu Ghraib--or, in fact, any Iraqi prison--and then spend a weekend with me, and see if they still think the two experiences can be accurately described using the same terms.
Don't you get a lot of weird people calling you?
Oh, my dear--you have no idea. The other day someone called me up, whistled "Deck the Halls"--you know, "with boughs of holly," the Xmas song--and then hung up. He did have some trouble with the higher notes on the "fa-la-la, la- la-la" bit, but otherwise, it was a tuneful, if inexplicable, little serenade.
Got any new toys lately?
I've been having a lot of fun carving butt plugs out of raw ginger, and putting mentholated cough drops in girls' slippery bits. Altoids and "breath strips" are good for the latter as well. (Watch out for yeast infections, however.)
I know you're a dominatrix and you've got a kinky boyfriend and all--but don't you ever yearn to submit to a mysterious stranger, someone stern and authoritative, but essentially benevolent, who will make your heart pound and leave you dizzy?
Why, yes, I do that on a regular basis. He enters the room wearing a mask and swiftly arranges me into a suitably vulnerable position. Then he begins by piercing me deeply with needles--but he always speaks soothingly to me as he does. Next, the other implements come out--tools so arcane that even I have no idea what they do. Afterwards, I'm sore and exhausted, but oddly satisfied that I've completed yet another session. His name is Chad. He's my dentist.
Doesn't someone having a "safeword" sort of ruin your whole fantasy of being in control of them?
Not at all. You see, the simple act of swinging a whip at someone is not what makes me feel dominant--a well-trained monkey could do that. No, the power lies in making people want me to do those intense things to their bodies and minds, even though they know it's going to be scary or painful. Creating and sustaining a desire that's stronger than fear--that's what turns me on.
