Inside Copper Gate, you’ll find Scando-hodgepodge-chic furnishings, old-fashioned cheesecake photos of topless ladies, very tasty Scandinavian food, and tyttebar (tee-ET-ah-bar)—the name of Norway’s lingonberry and of a (delicious!) drink made with lingonberry soda and sparkling wine. Further inside Copper Gate, you’ll find the Pussy Room (yes, really).

Ignore the first review, the service is great. It is not a stretch of the mind to think that someone that posts under the name eatmyass may in fact be the asshole, not the waitress.

Waitresses are ASSHOLES

The drinks and food here are good. If you don't have to deal with one of the waitresses here, you'll be fine. On my 4th visit, though--I was not so lucky and got one of these f'ing hags on my case. THEN, everything was hard; from getting a drink to getting my food. The disgust and exasperation coming off from her were palpable. And, even after a more than generous tip, her disposition was cold. My advice: sit at the bar and avoid the harpies. If you can't do that, go to Smokin' Pete's and getter better chow, if a more limited drink menu.

AQUAVIT!!

I went here for the first time over the weekend and had a bunch of different kinds of delicious Aquavit, pickled herring, shortribs, beets, a slew of Danish/Scandinavian cheeses and fruits, and a seriously wonderful chocolate sorbet with salt flakes and macadamia nuts. The whole experience was wonderful..boobies everywhere (wacky! sexy!), really genuinely good food and over-the-top tasty cocktails. I'm hesitant to write about the joint because it still feels like a secret, but I can't fight this feelin' anymore!

Good as gold

This place doesn't blow you over from the street, which helps create the WTF reaction when you walk into a full viking boat themed joint, with the bar stools set up for drinking oarsmen. Add in the tastefull feminine nudeness abounding from the intimate quarters, and you don't even need the food to be good for to have a fun evening. And yet the fare is certainly above average, with simple chicken sandwhiches and beef ribs done all new and amazingly well accompanied by their seasoned fries.
