Restaurant Details

  • Paneled in fake woodgrain and upholstered with red vinyl, the dining room at Cyndy's invites you to mellow out while awaiting your $20 psychic-energy reading across Aurora. It may be best to sit at the bar in a swivel chair and watch them flip the best pancakes north of the C.D. The banana pancakes float on your tongue like a tropical dream, and the crepes (called "Roll-Ups") are light and delicious. An entire continent of hash browns comes with egg orders, and you can choose country gravy or turkey gravy on anything. Also, Cyndy's makes a kick-ass chicken-fried steak.

mediocre food, but great dive atmosphere

It proved an enjoyable meal, and the decor and regulars seemed perfect for our sleepy Sunday breakfast. Still, both of our egg orders were mediocre...it honestly felt very much like Denny's food, only with more local "color" in the other diners. Still, easy to get a table on a Sunday. Prices were fine, and our waitress was friendly and kept our coffee filled. Still, had been hoping for a bit better food, rather than just warm and edible. Perhaps we'll try an actual pancake-type breakfast next time and have better results.

I've worked there for 17 years!

Thats gotta say something right?! Naw I will admit there are some drawbacks. ALWAYS ask for your fresh shredded hashbrowns crispy! I work there one day a week on Saturdays and encourage you all to come in and check us out! Our pancake batters are made fresh daily, the chicken fried steak with turkey or country gravy is THE BEST!, and the eggs bene well you should just come and see for your self. We were almost sold to giggles but thanks to the economy we are going to stick around a little bit longer. Hope to see you there! I'm the girl usually wearing twilight shirts, with buttons on her apron...lol.

The Best CFS

Great potato pancakes and even better chicken fried steak. Easy to get into on a weekend, the only drawback is the hashbrowns aren't as crispy as they could be.
