PREACHER KALEB--As the Pioneer Square art walk is reclaimed by art for, by, and about young urban professionals, Zeitgeist is attempting to remain a forum/free space for performance art, film, music, and challenging visual art. Up-and-coming Preacher Kaleb will deliver hellfire and brimstone oratory peppered with local social commentary. Also, local artist Stephen MacFarlane shows large-format monotypes that deftly blend figurative work with abstract backgrounds. Zeitgeist Art and Coffee, 171 S Jackson, 583-0497, 8 pm, free.
SUNDAY 6/4
CHEFS' NIGHT OUT--The head chefs at some of the Eastside's most bourgeois culinary establishments are banding together at this benefit for the Share Our Strength organization. This program, whose mission is a variation on the "teach a man to fish and feed him for life" concept, brings nutritionally "at-risk" people together with local chefs who teach them how to achieve more nutritional bang for their buck. This multi-course fundraiser will feature hors d'oeuvres, wine, and entrees. Golf Club at Newcastle, Redmond, 694-6846 for reservations, 5 pm, $150.
MONDAY 6/5
BINGO TV--Life can be pretty tough without cable, but those who can make the Heart of Darkness journey through the UHF channels to channel 45 will be rewarded not with Colonel Kurtz, but with live, free bingo. Free bingo cards can be obtained on the net at bingotelevision.com or at participating Puget Sound sponsors. Thousands of dollars awarded weekly! KHCV-TV 45, 4-5 pm daily, free.
WEDNESDAY 6/7
FATHER GUIDO SARDUCCI--No, the bespectacled Italian minister and '70s icon won't be bringing his olive-oil-fueled antics to Seattle quite yet, but today is the deadline for couples to write in their nuptial intentions to the Bumbershoot commission in charge of this event. The lucky couples, with extended families in attendance, will be hitched by the aging Italian stallion, enjoy a cake and punch reception, and be treated to a ride on the marriage-mobile. Interested correspondence to: Marry Me, c/o One Reel, P. O. Box 9750, Seattle, WA 98109.
